EXAMS ARE OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR

GAH this past week has been so crazy with 6 exams and studying 24/7 i had no life at all. but now theyre over and im so happy its basically like summer. getting tons of sleep, doing what ever i want, stressing about exam results (hehehehe) still so happy its here. anyway these were the stages of my week.

World of Dance Concert 2013

After months and months of extensive rehearsals after school hours and 6 hour rehearsals on Saturdays, our dance concert is finally over and we're all happy to say that it exceeded all of our possible expectations. unlike our last fall concert which was pretty much all unprepared and ended up horrible, this time we were unorganized and it turned out perfect at the last second. i am so happy to have been a part of such a memorable experience that i will treasure forever. i choreographed a hula dance and it turned out absolutely fantastic! im so proud of my 10 girls who learned this dance in just a few months especially since i know its really difficult for them because hula dance is so different from anything else theyre used to. below here are some cute hula pictures and pictures of other dances :)

ESLRs Presentation

done with eslrs presentation! its a presentation that all 10th graders need to pass to pass 10th grade so its a little bit nerve wracking :/ we are required to talk about our personal development with the use of eslrs from the past 2 years, 9th and 10th grade. the different eslrs are academic achiever, involved citizen, self directed learner, effective communicator, and critical thinker. so i based my presentation of the metamorphasis of a monarch butterfly to show the growth of my past 2 years. i think it went fairly well and the judges seemed to enjoy it. however, they didnt really ask me any questions and i was totally pumped to answer them so i was like noooooooooooooooooooo but oh well at least i didnt get a question wrong or something :)

and i wasnt gonna add this but i suppose i should say that im wearing the tallest heels ever and alyssa is actually like 5 inches taller than me normally 

Hula Dance for the Spring Concert

Our spring dance concert is coming up on may 10th at MKIS and i have been choreographing a hula dance for it. but the problem is that its a different type of dancing than these girls are used to and it's pretty tough to teach them. and i cant really say that im making it exactly very easy for them. i staged the whole dance yesterday and its literly so complicated its hard for me to understand myself. the girls have to be in 5 different positions for the whole dance . and they have to chant which i dont think makes them very happy haha but i think in the end it will turn out pretty cool. gabe still needs to work on learning how to blow the conch shell that we got and then hopefully it will be perfect! :)

this is approximately what the outfits will look like except the hair will be down and as crimped as possible and there will be leis around the head and kupe'e around the wrists. the rolled up top of the skirt is good for the dance because it will exaggerate the dancer's hips which will be needed in my dance :)

so this is the kind of head leis i want and then the ones around the wrist as well except that the leaves and flowers are very thin strands of jasmine

new phone ;)

well my birthday present from gabe arrived in the mail aand im totally using it against my friends.

yes if youre wondering it can plug into my phone and it works. so awesome :DDDD i plan to take the phone out of my purse when im with friends in public and talk as loud into it as i possibly can just to make them wonder why theyre really my friends ;)

Perhentian islands with Rose and Helen

Well Rose and Helen arrived on march 24th and they were pretty jet lagged but lucky for them we had a busy schedule planned and they didn't have time to adjust to all this weird tropical Malaysian shtuffff.

^that was at the airport seeing each other for the first time in about 8 months. good to be reunited with the sister again

anyway since they landed on a sunday, Rosie spnt one day with me at school on monday and then on tuesday morning we set off to the perhentians to begin our holidayyyy :DDDD

the next morning, our group decided to set out on a "little" 2 hour hike. (of course it wasn't a consensus). and of course the 2 hour hike turned out to be more around 4 hours. and it wasn't flip flop friendly either. part of the hike was more than a 60 degree up, which ya know, wasnt the most pleasant thing in the world but whatever. and then obviously gabe needed to stop at every single volleyball net and play while the rest of us suffered in the heat. it was absolutely fantasticccc ;DDD

it got too hot so we swam the final stretch hahaha :)

the next day we spend the morning snorkeling and i dont happen to have any pictures just cuz that doesnt work out too well to bring a camera under water. the rest of the day we kinda just layed around on the beach and got really sunburnt. well i didnt that much but everyone else did :)

friday morning me and rose went for a walk and mom came along to take cute pictures of us. i mean, haven't seen this babe in 8 months we need some cute ones together

 we also happened by some henna by the store there so we had a bit of fun with that thursday night

saturday morning we took like hours to clean up our room (yea it kinda was that messy) and then Rose and Helen set out on their way back to sacramento, through kl, singapore, seoul, and sf i think

anyway the final viewing of them was actually the 2 of em on the back of the boat headed towards kota bharu doing the gangnam style dance thing. that was entertaining <3
